Biography

Eldredge Blalock plays a vital role as the Development Director at Hudson Link, where he is dedicated to securing funding for our transformative programs. His responsibilities include coordinating impactful events, engaging directly with potential donors, and crafting compelling grant proposals. Before joining the team in 2019, Eldredge’s journey was marked by resilience; he earned two college degrees while incarcerated through the Hudson Link program and went on to achieve a Master of Public Administration (MPA) degree upon his release. His commitment to education not only changed his own life but also inspired his 21-year-old daughter to follow in his footsteps by attending the same university where he completed his master’s degree.

“My journey from adolescence to incarceration, to reading my first book while sitting in a prison cell, to obtaining two college degrees while incarcerated, to obtaining a master’s degree after prison, to becoming the first formerly incarcerated Development Director, tells the story of the power that higher education can have even in the darkest places.”

Fun Fact: Eldredge loves to eat but does not like gooey stuff.
