Biography
Brian Fischer, former Commissioner of the New York State Department of Corrections and Community Supervision, served for 44 years, overseeing 57,069 incarcerated individuals and 37,917 parolees. On Hudson Link's Board since 2007, he has contributed to the success of the organization and its graduates. Fischer implemented innovative programs including mental health services and re‑entry initiatives, emphasizing their societal benefits. He supports Puppies Behind Bars and has taught at Pace University and John Jay College. He holds degrees in Psychology and in Guidance and Counseling, and resides in Rockland County with his family.
