Unity in Our Community
In the bustling city of Ossining, the recent Community Mixer hosted by the Hudson Valley Books for Humanity Bookstore attracted a diverse crowd of local business owners, creatives, and community members. During this particular gathering, Hudson Link took center stage, being honored as the Community Mixer's "Nonprofit of the Month".
This community-driven initiative, established in collaboration with Hudson Valley Books for Humanity and local businesses in the region, aims to create a space for attendees to foster connections with new and emerging faces in the Hudson Valley.
Representing Hudson Link, Eric Adejuwon, our Communications Associate, shared our organization's mission with the audience, emphasizing the importance of a shared community. Event attendees engaged in discussions about Hudson Link's programs, team, and overall mission, enveloped in the inviting and friendly ambiance fostered by the staff and alumni in attendance.
As we reflect on the first joint-event of this year, our commitment to fostering literacy, promoting community engagement, and supporting the residents of Ossining remains unwavering. Together, we stand on the cusp of a new year filled with promise, opportunities, and the potential to make a meaningful difference in the lives of those around us--and that's a story worth reading about.
