For nearly three decades, Hudson Link for Higher Education in Prison has helped people move far beyond the confines of incarceration, starting with college classes behind the wall and continuing through reentry, housing, and long‑term success in the community. With almost 1,500 college degrees awarded to date, and over 2,000 students returning to their communities with less than a 2% recidivism rate, Hudson Link’s impact is clear and measurable. This year, we are going Beyond: Beyond a safe bed, Beyond a degree, and Beyond New York.

As Board Chair, I am deeply grateful for the commitment you have shown to this work and to the people we serve. Your support has fueled a journey that now stretches from the classroom to independent living, from the first college credit to career pathways, and from local impact to national leadership. Last year, we celebrated “A New Era.” In 2026, our Spring Benefit theme is “Beyond…” a call to recognize how far we’ve come and how much further we intend to go, as we move Beyond a safe bed through our New Beginnings transitional homes, Beyond a college degree through our Finish Line Initiative and expanded reentry services, and Beyond New York by helping programs across five states innovate post-release support for their own students.

The need for high‑quality transitional housing, holistic support, and informed policy advocacy has never been greater. Hudson Link is uniquely positioned to help shape this next phase, and your partnership makes that possible.
