Hudson Link documentary, “Zero Percent,” which focuses on our college program inside Sing Sing Correctional Facility, has been wining many accolades at film festivals across the country including: the first-ever Silver Heart Award at the Dallas International Film Festival; Best Documentary Award at UrbanWorld, Breckenridge, Bronx and Las Vegas Film Festivals; Best of Festival at the Arlington International Film Festival; and the Human Spirit Award at the Ojai Film Festival.
Thanks to Sing Sing Superintendent Philip Heath the entire Sing Sing inmate population was given the opportunity to watch “Zero Percent” in Sing Sing’s auditorium. On the way out of the auditorium many of the men commented that they were “emotionally drained and immensely proud of all that the Hudson Link men have accomplished in their lives” and several of the guards stated that the film accurately represented the transformation they have witnessed first-hand as a result of Hudson Link’s college program and felt that seeing the film would help to motivate and inspire the general inmate population.

Thirteen Men Graduate Nyack College at Fishkill Correctional Facility
On August 10, 2011 Hudson Link hosted its first-ever college graduation at the Fishkill Correctional Facility. To the traditional pomp and circumstance, thirteen men marched proudly through a room of family, friends and supporters to receive their Bachelor of Science degree in Organizational Management from Nyack College. Three of the graduates had already been released from prison but understanding how important it was that they participate in the ceremony alongside their fellow graduates, the Department of Corrections granted these men permission to enter the prison and be a part of the festivities. We are extremely grateful to the Department of Corrections for arranging this.
